A striking 1960s diamond bombé ring in 18k gold. It's impeccably styled, with with an almost organic feel: diagonal curving lines of diamonds appearing to burst/bulge out of the head. The hallmarks indicate it was made in Italy, which was something of a radical/avant-garde design hotspot at the time with design houses such as Archizoom and Superstudio advancing reactive, neo-futurist styles and themes. This ring is set with 45 brilliant cut diamonds totalling a little over one carat.
