Inscription: "Faithless to none, yet faithfull to one" on the inside in period English with a delicate floral pattern on the outside of this silver or gold ring. The original gold poesy ring from the 16th or 17th century is now in the British Museum. The sentiment of love and devotion engraved on the inside is written in old English and charmingly misspelled exactly as in the original.
