A Navajo silversmith hand cut the smooth sterling silver bezel surrounding this interesting tear drop shaped blue Larimar stone. An oxidized rope detail finishes the ring. With shades ranging from white to deep blue this ring can be worn with any outfit. The sterling silver band is very comfortable to wear. Larimar is a rare stone mined only in the Dominican Republic where it was thought to be from the Lost City of Atlantis. It actually comes from a volcanic deposit on the island. The discoverer of this stone named it for his daughter, Larissa, and mar meaning sea in Spanish. The soft blue color looks like the waters of the Caribbean Sea.
