Niklas Weingut Schiava is a light red from Trentino-Alto Adige. This is one of my favorite wines right now, it drinks like a Burgundy. Lean, precise, with small berries, wild strawberries, ribes, and Karkade tea on the nose; it is tout and laser sharp. Give it a shot!

Weingut Niklas, situated in Caldaro, South Tyrol, is a family-run winery that embodies the passion and expertise of three generations. With a profound respect for nature, they cultivate grapes on 17 acres across prime locations in Kaltern. Dieter Sölva, following in the footsteps of his father Josef, the founder, and with his son Michael's involvement, continues to innovate while respecting their heritage.
