The gold 43 with the words CAMP HALE subtly engraved beside it, represents the year that the 10th Mountain Division started their training at Camp Hale. The gold 45 with the word ITALY engraved beside it refers to the year that the soldiers helped liberate northern Italy in WWII. Hand engraved by America's oldest silversmith, Comstock Heritage.
